a San Francisco Bay Area native and resident, studied composition at Stanford University and California Institute of the Arts. His mentors included James Tenney and Melissa Hui, and he also studied with Wadada Leo Smith, Christian Wolff, Stephen “Lucky” Mosko, and Sara Roberts. His music has been performed at universities, festivals and outdoor public spaces from Auckland to Darmstadt, but mostly in California. Adam performs regularly in new music concerts and festivals, and has given lectures on numerous topics at California Institute of the Arts.
